At Beal we are committed to providing further challenge for our brightest young Mathematicians both within the classroom and outside of it.

As part of our Further Challenge programme we participate in the many of the competitions organised by the UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust).

Every year students from across the school enter special competitions aimed at challenging the most able mathematicians in the country.  They are:

· Senior Challenge (Yrs 12-13) in November

· Intermediate Challenge (Yrs 9-11) in February

· Junior Challenge (Yrs 7-8) in April

We also usually enter a team into the Junior team Challenge.
